The visit is not only a key diplomatic event but also a demonstration of Russia’s respect and commitment to its cooperation with Vietnam. It reflects Vietnam’s proactive foreign policy, grounded in independence, self-reliance, diversification, and multilateralization, aimed at benefiting the nation and contributing to global peace and stability.

Ambassador Khoi believes the visit will enhance mutual trust and friendship, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations.

During the visit, the leaders of the two countries will discuss and set orientations for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership until 2030, identifying key areas of cooperation such as economy, trade, defense, security, energy, science, technology, education, culture, and people-to-people diplomacy.

The visit will also provide an opportunity for the signing and implementation of new cooperation agreements, which are expected to bring economic benefits and strengthen political and strategic ties. In the context of global uncertainties, close cooperation between Vietnam and Russia becomes even more crucial.

“President Putin’s visit sends a strong message of mutual respect between the two countries, highlighting their friendship and solidarity,” Ambassador Khoi emphasized. This visit underscores the commitment to enhancing both countries’ positions in the international arena for the benefit of their peoples and for regional and global peace and stability.

The visit will also allow both sides to discuss regional and international issues of mutual concern, contributing to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world. Ambassador Khoi believes this visit will mark an important milestone, signifying the strong and sustainable development of the Vietnam-Russia relationship, which has been built on decades of trust, cooperation, and mutual respect.

Since establishing diplomatic relations on January 30, 1950, the relationship between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union and Russia has grown stronger, with comprehensive development in all areas over the past 30 years. This relationship has evolved from a Strategic Partnership to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Ambassador Khoi highlighted the important role of cultural exchange in building and strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Russia. Cultural activities, such as festivals, exhibitions, and art and music events, have significantly contributed to enhancing mutual understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultural heritage.

“The special affection between the Vietnamese people and the people of the former Soviet Union, as well as Russia today, symbolizes solidarity and international friendship,” Ambassador Khoi noted. Generations of people from both countries have shared not only challenges and difficulties but also moments of glory and happiness, fostering deep affection and respect.

To maintain and develop this special friendship, promoting people-to-people exchanges is essential. These activities help maintain friendly relations and create new opportunities for the people of both countries to bond and understand each other better.

Ambassador Khoi emphasized the need to continue nurturing and developing this special friendship with dedication and effort.
